Applying for a Licence


Applying for a shotgun certificate is straightforward. You need to fill in some forms that can be obtained from your local police authority, obtain some passport photos and write a cheque.

You will need secure storage for your guns, such as a proper gun cabinet available from all good shooting suppliers.

Once you have made your application then your local police firearms liaison officer will contact you and will make an appointment to come and talk with you and to check your secure storage arrangements.

Once the police have satisfiend themselves you meet the legal requirements to own a shotgun then your certificate will be granted.
